Burst of Color

Its fall and the trees are showing their color.  In Essex, CT the tree lined street leading to the river is alive in red, yellow  and orange and Halloween figures adorn the posts.

Under a canopy of yellow leaves the river can be seen in the distance.

Down on the dock the gulls were looking for handouts.  This guy was waiting patiently for his turn.

However, at the last moment another gull swooped in to catch some bread in mid-air.

Los Angeles in July

This past July I visited Los Angeles, CA.  A few of the sites I saw I've posted here.  I had to start with the Hollywood sign as a familiar welcome to LA.  This particular shot was taken from the Kodak Center in downtown Los Angeles.
Up the street from the Kodak Center is the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre.  Many famous celebrities, past and present, have left their foot and handprints here.
What is a visit to LA without seeing one of its most famous residents.
The gounds of the Getty Center rise above downtown LA.
The Getty Center offers a nice place to have lunch and enjoy a typical California day with LA as a backdrop.

Swans at Birdseye Street Dock

I was lucky enough to bring my camera when we went for a quick burger. I was glad these guys cooperated.
